Hi, everyone! Welcome to my Like A Saturday website.

Hi, everyone! Welcome to my Like A Saturday website. If you are looking for the best DIY projects and creative ideas, then this page you’ve visited is just right for you. Here, you can find my amazing DIYs of home decors and event decorations.

Many of us love crafting but others don’t, as they find it too tiring and have no time for this thing or they simply don’t have any interest. Let’s face it, not all of us have budget when it comes to decorating our home. We usually set aside what money we have for the family’s needs or for our kids. This is why we oftentimes tighten our budget on everything. Me, as a married woman and a mother of two beautiful kids, embrace the fact that I’m in charge of taking care of them, the house, as well as the budget. I used to go to thrift stores or garage sales in newly installed garage doors in Texas to find some thrift items for my house. Then, I will do a makeover for every piece I’m buying.

Me and my husband enjoy updating our home especially whenever an occasion comes. Suddenly, it came up to my mind to create a website, where I can share my crafting ideas to others who are interested in DIY. I know, lot of people have this kind of skill and are only looking for inspiration.

My projects are posted weekly on various topics like home decorating, DIY, event planning and a lot more. These crafting ideas and projects are perfect for the weekend and even weekdays if you are full time moms and crafters. Some of my work can be done even if you are with your kids around you.

We all have many old and unused items lying around in our homes, garages or basements waiting to be thrown away. I don’t know if you’ve noticed, but there’s a great feeling of liberation that comes after shedding old stuff. It is also a great feeling when you create something with your own skills and ability from these old things.

However, before you start cleaning your home, I want to show you incredibly creative Do It Yourself projects that may change your mind. You’ll learn in my website that a lot of useless and old items can be altered into wonderful creations.

Instead of buying new things for your home, why don’t you make items for yourself. You can choose items that suit your taste, create them in your own choice of colors, textures and what-nots. Whether you are aiming for efficiency, decoration or fun, there’s are always awesome crafting ideas that are waiting for you.

You can turn an old glove into a cute chipmunk toy, toilet paper rolls into a beautiful floral wall art, plastic bottles into a broom, wine bottles into elegant vases, plastic spoons into perfect chandeliers and so much more.

I’ve been working on this list for a long time, as I have already done these things in my home but I’m sure there are many more awesome DIY ideas that we’ve missed. So if you know something or have done a cool DIY project yourself, please let me know. Feel free to share it in the forum section of this site.

Easy DIY Christmas Decorations

It’s December already. Christmas is just around the corner. Since, a lot of you are asking me to do the easiest DIY Christmas decorations, I will do it now. The last time, I had posted some Christmas decorations and others said that it was a little difficult to follow. This time, I’m not going to give you one idea but few of the easiest ideas I have and the fact that you don’t have to spend loads of dollars to make them. Let’s get going!

Paint your doormat – Of course, you don’t want to greet your visitors with the uninviting doormat on the floor. If you have any plain doormat, just paint it with white graphic trees using stencil.

Paint your Mirror – Your mirror that you placed in your living room area need to upgrade. Use washable paint marker to draw a few snow flakes on the side part of the mirror.

Spruce it up –

Schedule a cleaning session in your house. Spread cheers throughout the house by placing some pine boughs in big plain vases. It has good smell too that leaves your home smelling fresh.

Display Christmas greetings –
Using old or new frames can actually work with this DIY. Just print out any Christmas greeting on your computer printer. Remember to use paper according to the size of your frame. Put your printed greetings on the frame and hang it on your wall or simply place it on center or side tables.

Make your home as festive as possible for the Christmas season. I hope you will enjoy this week’s DIY. They are so simple and easy to make yet so elegant and you can feel the Christmas vibes with each decoration. I’m happy that you’re hanging out with me plus, I will be happier if you follow this simple DIYs and apply it to your home for this coming Christmas season.
